Nantucket: Evening Comes to Head of the Harbor

A couple of years ago Patty and I spent 10 days on our sailboat "Atelier" anchored in Nantucket Harbor.  Most days we jumped in the dinghy and headed up the harbor to a deserted beach where I painted sketches of the shoreline.  This painting is the result of those excursions.  Nantucket has a horizontal landscape that evokes a feeling of peacefulness and calm.
