Offshore

I am attempting to convey a sense of movement.  By keeping the composition simple, the viewer focuses on the few elements portrayed-- water, sky, boat and buoy.  They are all responding to wind, light, and motion.  The water and sky were painted with a palette knife and squeegee -- a brush was only use to render the boat and buoy.  because of this, all the elements with the exception of the boat are a little vague.  This forces the viewer to focus on the highly rendered boat with those peripheral vision areas providing the movement and action.
